At BHS we believe that a curriculum rich in fine and performing arts opens the minds of students to the beauty our world has to offer.
FINE ARTS COURSES
Students may choose from a variety of art courses including drawing, ceramics, pottery, and painting. Check out what our class curriculum covers, and see actual student art when you visit our art website (just follow the link provided on the side of this page).
VOCAL & INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
Participating in a group choral or instrumental program helps students not only to learn the universal language of music but also to build relationships with others who share in their interests. Students perform in a variety of public concerts and hone their skills by participating in competitive venues.
We offer beginning and advanced chorus, vocal jazz, and dual credit music programs. Our instrumental program includes beginning and marching band as well as a jazz ensemble.
THEATRE ARTS
Some of us were born to act on stage or to create worlds to take us to another place and time. In BHS Theatre Arts, students learn the basics of theatre, its history, and how the creative process works. Students learn to appreciate this art form as both a spectator and a participant.
