How about a big round of applause for Sarah Ellison! Sarah recently took 2nd place in the 2022 Congressional Art Competition for her painting Canoe Trip. Sarah is a junior this year at BJSHS. Her art teacher is Mrs. Lena Suman.

The Academic Quiz Bowl team will practice at 7:15 AM on Thursday, May 19th, in Mrs. Hundley's room (207).
There will be a girls' soccer callout for grades 8-11 on Thursday, May 19th, during the HS peak time in the library.
Best Buddies will have pizza and a movie party on Wednesday 5/18 from after school until 4:30. Join in the fun. Meet in room 131.
The next Catch Up Cafe will be Wednesday, May 18th, from 3:15-4:15 in the library.
The students on the Washington DC trip approximate arrival time back to the school is 9am.

(1/2) New members of NJHS will be inducted into the organization on Tuesday, May 24th at 2:15 in the main gymnasium. Practice for this event will happen with all NJHS members on Monday, May 23 during PEAK.
Current NJHS members, we will be having a meeting on Thursday, May 19th to discuss the New Member Induction Ceremony that will take place on May 24th during 7th Period. Know that this even is mostly student run. Please be on time to this meeting.

(1/2) There will be a meeting for all 8th-11th grade girls interested in playing volleyball next year on Wednesday, in the library during PEAK. Check in with your PEAK teacher first, and then head down. We will talk about summer practices and fundraisers.
(2/2) IHSSA sports physicals are required for all students participating in athletics and will be done during this clinic for a small fee of $25.00, this must be paid at the time of the visit. Physical and consent forms may be picked up at the Health office from Mrs. Sargent.
(1/2) Physical and immunization clinic coming to BJSHS on Monday May 16, 2022, from 2:30 - 5:30pm. All current and incoming Blackford County Students are welcome to attend. Immunizations will be offered to any student needing the required shots to attend school.
Do you still have library books checked out? Remember ALL books must be returned by the last day of school. Seniors--Don't forget ALL library materials must be returned/paid for BEFORE graduation!!

Does your child need immunizations? Is your student going to be in athletics?
If so, join us at BJSHS on Monday May 16th from 2:30-5:30 for the Open Door clinic.
A parent must be present for all immunizations to be administered as well as a consent for treatment being signed. If your student is 18 years old they do not need a parent present.
Student and athletic physicals will be offered during this clinic also for $25.00 that must be paid at the time of the clinic.
Please enter through the Sutton Center entrance, door 17 and you will be directed from there.
