During the open house hours, students are welcome to walk through the building to find their classes and lockers. The teachers will be in their rooms if you would like to meet them.
We will have parent/student meetings in the evening that are targeted for the incoming 7th grade students, and for the 9th grade and “new to” Blackford students.
Class Meetings:
7th Grade/JH New Students - 5:30 PM
9th Grade/HS New Students - 7:00 PM
These meetings will be in the Main Gym and will last approximately 20-30 minutes.
During the day from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, we will have assistance for parents that still need to get their students registered for school, and pick up their student laptops.
Students will not be able to get their laptops until their parents complete the registration process in Skyward.

It was a somber day for 3 BJSHS students on the Washington DC trip. The students placed a wreath in remembrance at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The moment was especially meaningful for the students, who were accompanied on the trip by their US veteran fathers.
