It's been a day of "walking" at Blackford County Schools! Our BJSHS seniors walked in their caps and gowns at both BIS and BPS. We love that they are inspiring our younger students in the district to look forward to THEIR senior year! Way to go, Class of 2026!

Gage is completing his studies in the Automotive Service Technology program at MACC with an Ivy Tech Maintenance and Light Repair certification.
Jack completed his work in the Electrical program with a NCCER Electrical Level 1 certification.

If your student attends BPS, it's been a fun-filled day of activity! The students have had a great day filled with all kinds of outdoor activities including sack races, disc golf, relay races (of all kinds), tug of war, and much more! Today's BJSHS Senior Shout Outs go to two hard-working Blackford Bruins! Abigail Slentz recently graduated from Ivy Tech with her Indiana College Core Certificate and her Associate of General Studies.
She is joined by fellow Bruin, Sara Yoho, who also graduated with her Indiana College Core Certificate, Associate of General Studies, and Early Childhood Classroom Support Professional Certificate.
We are proud of these outstanding students, as well as our partnership with Ivy Tech Community College, which made this possible for our students!

The Indianapolis 500 isn't the only racing taking place this week in Indiana. Our students in Ms. Amanda Green's 4th grade class at BIS have been working their own cars built of K'nex pieces, powered by a "sail" and a fan. The Top 3 groups of finishers include:

Today, Sergeant Capper and Sergeant Phillips came to visit at BPS and let students in Mrs. Liz Holdcroft's and Ms. Holly Lennon's classes check out their patrol vehicles and even use the sirens! We are learning about community helpers!
