What does math have to do with snowmen? In Ms. Sheri Hangber's class at BIS, her 5th graders used their lessons in radius and diameter to build their creations. According to Ms. Hangbers, "students had "snow" much fun! Nice work, Bears!

Thank you to the staff, students, and community members who participated in the recent BJSHS blood drive hosted by Blackford High School HOSA (Health Occupations Students Association). According to Versiti representative Megan Borgmann, "At today’s Blood Drive, we saw 71 donors come out and attempt to donate. We were able to collect 50 units of blood. That is 150 patients impacted. 150 children, mothers, fathers, and community members that get to spend Christmas with their loved ones thanks to your help and amazing donors. THANK YOU! ❤ "Blood has a shelf life of 42 days, and there is no substitute. As the primary blood supplier for our local hospitals, I cannot say thank you enough for helping us save the lives of local patients. You are a lifesaver, and we are grateful for your support of our mission." The next HOSA drive is scheduled for Tuesday, February 1st. Reserve your spot now, and save a life! 👇 https://donate.indiana.versiti.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/151031 Donors outside of BJSHS are encouraged to register for time slots available from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. to allow for students and staff to take the earlier reservations.
