How cool is this? BPS staffers Shalee Myron and Liz Holdcroft worked together to create two communication boards for the playground. Both boards include an English side and a Spanish side. The inclusive boards allow for all students to effectively communicate their wants/needs on the playground! #BetterAtBlackford

Check out the handiwork of Mr. Rich Uggen's 7th Grade Manufacturing class at BJSHS. The students are showing off the coat racks they made this term. According to Mr. Uggen, they did everything by hand – no power tools. They used a hand saw, bit brace, and hand drill (like an old egg beater) to cut and drill their holes. Then they sanded, and sanded, and sanded starting with 80 grid and ending with 220. They glued in their pegs; and then applied a light stain followed by a polyurethane finish. Nice work students! #BetterAtBlackford
